Dipped my toes in the Ultra world finishing Cowtown Ultra (50K). Did not beat my goal time of 5hrs but I did not quit either, despite of cramping at mile 19 with 12 miles to go. Now I enjoy the pain 😈

Went for a run after work (90 mins, easy pace). Walked a lot…Took me 50 mins find my rhythm. I almost quit, but thought I’d feel pretty shitty when I get Taco Bell on my way home. So I kept pushing. Did 9 miles and bought so much Taco Bell.

Finished the year with a longer run because its nice to accomplish things, and it’s easy to say “I’m going to do this” when you’re chilling at home. It’s rewarding to think back through your struggles and how you showed the world you didn’t fucking quit

Gentle giant showed at my door this morning. Couldn’t let him wander around. I’m attempting to find his owner but he’s not microchipped. Can’t keep him long term, he might need a new home. If anyone is interested in a dog, please reach out and help me find this guy a new home

Finish Cowtown Marathon and beat my target time of 4 hours. Not bad for my first marathon

A year ago I said I’d complete an Ironman 70.3. On Sunday I completed Waco 70.3 beating my target time of 6 hours and finished top 25%.

I set my runs up so I run past my car with 2 miles left to go. This gives me the opportunity to quit. I do this to see how I react when I’m in the thick of it. Truth is, sometimes I fold. And when I do, I own it and say “Good. Now I get better.” #extremeownership
