What does accountability mean biblically? Biblical accountability means being responsible before God and one another for how we live, believe, and represent Christ with the goal of correction, growth, and restoration, not control or punishment.

What does rebuke mean biblically? It’s about calling out error so that repentance, growth, and restoration can happen.

5. If his life doesn’t reflect obedience, accountability, and humility, believe what you see, not what you hope.

7. Unity is spiritual before it’s romantic. If you can’t pray together, work through conflict, and forgive without keeping score, pause. “A cord of three strands is not easily broken.” -Ecclesiastes 4:12

6. Marriage isn’t 50/50. Some days it’s giving more than you planned to. Some days it’s choosing grace when pride would be easier. “Value others above yourselves.” -Philippians 2:3

5. Marriage won’t change patterns. It will confirm them. Consistency before the ring matters more than promises after it. “By their fruit you will recognize them.” -Matthew 7:16

4. Being chosen feels good. But being consistently shown up for feels safe. I’ve learned that desire isn’t the same as stewardship. “Husbands, love your wives…” -Ephesians 5:25

3. Love matters. But love without maturity becomes exhausting. If you don’t know how to communicate, take accountability, or apologize sincerely, love won’t fix that. “Love is patient… it is not self-seeking.” -1 Corinthians 13:4–5
