Having a memory spike 8Gb at the start of the Editor. So I thought that's something in resources, but turned out that's D3D12CreateDevice call Made an empty project with my renderer and got 32Mb for this call. With the same framework. Prob sm definesm Win never stops surprising

Finished the camera controller, so I have all matrices updated by input events. But that's the first time I render something with the new engine -I found I have 1 FPS. Probably I recompile or read something every frame - new week, new bugfix. But happy to finally see progress

Pretty interesting article about Feature Oriented Programming, that’s about Java but you can borrow some interesting ideas about hierarchies, lifters and adapters Christian Prehofer - Feature Oriented Programming - A Fresh Look at Objects https://t.co/rTotaVRWEq

When I was young, I thought that if you are great in your field, you can make great jokes about your job. Here is an example proving it. Really funny. James Iry - A Brief, Incomplete, and Mostly Wrong History of Programming Languages https://t.co/kYntONpfXG

Mixins is a really important technique to achieve different goals in static context. This article covers a really interesting use case, as well as how to put restrictions on mixins hierarchy. Mixin Layers: https://t.co/k1ddubEBvA

Can't say that will groundbreak something, but this can change how you see your codebase, The article covers some interesting aspects about maintenance. It has pretty scientific language, but can be interesting to see everyday routine in different terms https://t.co/t1qH1SOyD0

Fun artifact, in C++, you can override the comma operator so that you can write code like this. There are no huge reasons to use it anymore, maybe only in some code generators, but it still looks fun :)

I recently finished watching these amazing lectures on Category Theory. They are well-explained and cover a huge amount of info with examples for software engineers. Suggest watching, because that's a very important topic Bartosz Milewski - Category Theory

Almost finished this book and can't hold myself to sharing it with you, That's an amazing book, but I don't have enough space here to explain everything in detail. However, the topic is great, especially if software development (and C++) is important to you - recommended to read

Sometimes you write “good C++ knowledge” in your CV Sometimes you write std::vector as an object directly to the file

Finally, some good progress, I was able to read the scene's layer from the exported data and pass it to the entitysystem, all the way down to the renderer components, wanted to finish today, but too much, probably tomorrow will finally restore the rendering
