The weather isn’t ideal for a beach day, but our sample results are! As of Aug 23, only 1 beach remains under a no-swim advisory, and that is St. Joseph Beach. If you are going to the beach today, be careful of strong winds and waves! For more info: https://t.co/aBJBAQLUWA

Please be advised that St. Joseph Beach was not resampled on Aug 22. It will remain under a no-swim advisory until we can sample again on Aug 27. So, swimming is NOT recommended at St. Joseph Beach. Other resample results for Aug 22 will be posted this afternoon.

GREAT NEWS!! After our re-sample on August 15, all beaches have come back ok! Therefore all beaches are safe to swim. Have a great day at the beach!

The results from August 13 beach sampling are in. Unfortunately 12 beaches have tested over. Amberley, Ashfield, Port Albert, Sunset beach, All Goderich beaches, Blacks Point, Pier, Houston heights, St. Josephs, and Hay township park. Stay safe!

It is a cloudy, windy morning today (Aug. 13). If you're going for a morning swim, please be careful of the strong currents and waves. At Port Albert, there is a strong cross-current from the Nine Mile River flowing across the shoreline of the lake. Please exercise caution.

We couldn't find the sun in the sky, but we did find it on the shore 😄 The current temperature for the beach water this morning is an average of 17°C and the air temperature is 21°C. The waters are calm and there's a nice breeze. #LakeHuron

Friday August 1 sample results are in! Hay township park swim advisory is lifted and is safe to swim. However, Ashfield township park is still testing over with high levels of bacteria. Enjoy your weekend at the beach!

The heat wave has paid off! The water is gorgeous! Today, July 30, the water temp is 23°C, and the air temp is 27°C. The water is becoming a bit wavy, but it's nice and refreshing for a day like today!

It looks like our no-swim advisory sign has disappeared at Ashfield Beach. This is a reminder that as of July 30, Ashfield is still under a no-swim advisory. We are out sampling today and hoping for good results tomorrow! Stay tuned 😄
