Just to provide some context.

A 25 Lakh worth car in China & US both cost over 55 Lakhs to Indian Customers view Draconian Import duty of over 100%. A person who can afford a Harrier in India can purchase an Audi/Tesla in US at same cost. No wonder Indians have to survive on substandard Hyundai / Maruti cars.

The biggest Irony of India is that while a 10 yr old Diesel car is unfit for driving view having lives its life, a 10 year old Tax Slab is still relevant today after commodity prices have almost increased 10 X, Real estate prices almost 100 X, inflation over 3X in last 10 yrs.
