Does anyone still have official SPOUT jewelry? Support Promoting Our Unique Town was an association formed to promote Hudson businesses when the advent of malls threatened them. This final iteration of urban renewal in Hudson was a herculean effort in civic pride.

Joy fills our week as we reflect on Saturday's Arte y Lugares Especiales program. Olana's first-ever Spanish-language event was shared thanks to a collaboration between the library, Olana, Columbia County Sanctuary Movement, and ArtsConnect. Thank you all! Let's do it again! 🙂✨

Our History Room received a donation of a film reel called Widening Circle from the YWCA that may be interviews with Hudson residents. Does anyone know anything about this film and/or have a film projector we can use to see if the film is worth digitizing?

As mentioned in the 1980s Been Laborin' curriculum guide, the BLACC oral histories are replete with home remedies stories. Beulah Whitbeck, Marion Van Ness, Marie Parker, Bill Van Ness, and others spoke about these remedies for colds, rheumatism, and other ailments. Link in Bio.
