Hey Irene, You and only you will know when it’s time to pack it in. I’ve been asked that question for at least the past 10+ years and I’m 59. As the old saying goes, age is only a number! Play as long as you enjoy it…. That’s my motto.
Do I have to retire from competitive curling at my age of 38? I’ve been asking myself this question for a few years now when I read the many retirements of young players on social media. I love this sport. It’s my passion. I think I’m not done yet, am I?

Glen Despins was a class act. Soft spoken, very humble and a talented curler. I spent many hours on and off the ice with Glenny D. He was liked and respected by all. My sincere condolences to his family and friends. Rest In Peace Glen.
Ran into Glen Despins at the rink last year & ended up grabbing a coffee and talking shop for 45 minutes. Whata player.. what a guy. Can’t wait to talk curling again some day - Rest easy Glenny D.
