Just had a walk around where I used to knock about as a kid. Not heard these parakeets before. It’s all overgrown, the large pond that held reed buntings is just water, no reeds. Lots of corvids and one rabbit!

I retired from work today but at our Christmas dinner, the manager asked me to return for the odd day to carry out some roe stalking, rabbit and mole control! Out tonight on the moor first though 🦊

I’m on count down to retirement. Eight working days to go and I’m done. Fifty one years working full time. Left school on the Friday and started work the following Monday. I’ve done a year extra too. Looking forward to doing my own thing. I hope I’ve done my parents proud
