Why are cyclists in the countryside such insufferable, self righteous, pricks? Colleague just told me that on one farm the signs on the footpath saying (with council backing) “no cycling” have been torn down in past 24hrs. With bicycle tyre tracks going up to signs….

As I am spending most of the day under farm machinery attempting to fix the various issues, I thought that I would just share this. The Acer outside the house thinks it is Spring. Whereas my back on the cold concrete in the barn says that it is definitely Winter. #TreeClub

Walking Hound this morning I was tying to think of a period in our history where those running the country were as hated as the current bunch of self serving, time serving bureaucrats. I could only think of the period around 1381. & that didn’t end well.

A great day for getting outdoors. Less so when clearing out chicken coops and runs. So went for a bimble in the woods with Hound, looked up & saw this oak - magnificent against a blue sky. Yes, a blue sky. No clouds. No rain. #TreeClub

Sunshine, daffodils and trees. No breeze and no lake, so the daffs weren’t fluttering and dancing (known in the family as “doing a Wordsworth”), but very enjoyable all the same. #TreeClub

Heard today, a cry that sums up the most middle class crisis in the U.K. today - “there is only one avocado in Sainsbury”. Also in Sainsbury- twats who don’t realise that trolleys have wheels so you don’t leave them in the middle of the aisle while you go to other end of store.
