This year is the 50th anniversary of the Wreck of the Edmund Fitzgerald. To commemorate, I’ll be posting different versions and covers of Gordon Lightfoot’s amazing song each day in this thread until the the 10th along with history and context.

How can these both be true? 1) you should build a portfolio of rental properties 2) renting is cheaper than owning

This is for tickets that I sold for a show that happened over 2 weeks ago and I won’t be paid for another week. Why did it take me a month from the time I sell tickets to get paid for them on Ticketmaster?

If the @moonbirds TGE prints me six figs, I’ll track down @kevinrose and kiss him on the lips.

Had to just go in AGAIN and modify x to not need to go into menus to see chats. This is getting exhausting. I literally only pay for a blue check to access encrypted group chats. Please just leave them where they are.

I just walked in and my 7year old was explaining to my 9 year old why they rang the bell 30 times with Gordon Lightfoot died. I may have taken this thing a bit too far.

I realize I’m just huffing my own farts here, but this is the best run of tweets I’ve ever posted. I’ve been writing the last day for the last week and I’m just really proud of it. I think it’s ok to say that.
There’s something uniquely midwestern about the Edmund Fitzgerald, the lakes hold a similar pull for Midwesterners that I imagine the ocean does for islanders. They define us. They humble us. They’re part of who we are, even if we live a hundred miles inland.
