Affordable housing does not need to be ugly and we would get a lot more of it approved and built if your average citizen didn’t view its construction as a tradeoff against beauty.

Should be interesting. Curious to see if it builds on the themes that seem to already have emerged in the town https://t.co/pwB2uvbecS

After researching your historic home’s history and determining whether you’re restoring or rehabilitating it, you can start planning your project. You can take on as many or as few aspects of planning as desired but don't forget these integral steps. https://t.co/AFfQHdnInl

The City of Edmonton is updating it's heritage strategy. A great opportunity to add great ideas or new directives to help ensure our heritage resources (from the phsical to cultural) are better protected and promoted in the future .

Two projects by the Dutch architecture firm Van Manen in The Hague, in what they describe as 'Hollandse stijl', or "Dutch style." They are traditionally styled yet contemporary, with good details and nice tilt/turn windows. The streets are, of course, clay pavers.

My column: A Montreal company is building greenhouses on unused building rooftops. They now grow 200,000 vegetables per week. Their newest greenhouse is on a Walmart. If this was done just to Walmarts, Canada would cut its annual vegetable imports by 15%. https://t.co/6ybDGd8nRC
