Business as usual happens in every industry blahblah. I don't think people understand this industry preys on people's passion and childhood dreams. I highly doubt you'll find someone in insurance or accounting that has some fond childhood memory that made them choose their career

This encapsulates a lot of the anguish I feel. From finding him on the floor, trying to keep him awake as medics took him away then shakily messaging coworkers on his pc cuz -he was working when he had a stroke-, to him coming to my door & telling me he was laid off has gutted me
Rough morning. For the last year I’ve had Victors car for safe keeping since his stroke. Had a quick visit with him this morning to hand off his Bungie parking pass, as he’s been impacted by the layoffs and needs to return it. To see this happening to him is heartbreaking.
