The Defence Secretary @JohnHealey_MP visited @HMNBPortsmouth yesterday to hear from a variety of @RoyalNavy personnel about their experiences and contributions to operations around the world. He also got to thank the crew of @HMSDiamond which recently returned from the Red Sea.

Shine bright like a Diamond… @hmsdiamond returned home to Portsmouth for an emotional reunion with loved ones after an historic deployment that saw her shoot down nine drones and a ballistic missiles in the Red Sea and Gulf of Aden.

Shine on you 'mazing Diamond 💎 Welcome home the men and women of @hmsdiamond after 7 months away successfully protecting shipping from Houthi drone/missile attacks in the Red Sea. She's due past Portsmouth's Round Tower around 1pm tomorrow, so please show your support.👏

Diamond's 💎 Flight team provide anti-surface and submarine warfare, reconnaissance, medical evacuations, and transport operations. This team of highly skilled aircrew and engineers use the Wildcat helicopter to support DIAMOND on operations. Interested? @Royal Navy

Behind every great warship is an even greater Logistics Department. Diamond's 💎 Logs team support all we do: catering, stores, medical, replenishment at sea, counter chemical warfare, and HR services, all thousands of miles from home. Interested? @RoyalNavy

🚢@HMSDiamond is in the Red Sea, where she continues to protect the freedom of passage to merchant shipping, and protecting them against Houthi Rebel attacks. The @RoyalNavy crew continue to train routinely, to ensure the operational effectiveness of themselves and the ship.💪🌊

£15m of drugs seized by @hmsdiamond in the Indian Ocean... The destroyer's #RoyalMarines boarding team from @42_commando pounced on a suspect dhow to stop and search the vessel in the Gulf of Aden – 2.4 tonnes of illicit narcotics have now been destroyed. Read more⬇️
