This weekend came close to breaking me.

Doing this, but make it while you are scrubbed in theatre with the on call general surgery reg, and when asked if you want to do surgery you say .“no, I’ve applied for anaesthetics”.….Cue audible gasps from all of the theatre team 😂.

Genuinely shocked listening to the radio and hearing a Tory MP saying nurses shouldn’t be striking because “ITS WHAT PUTIN WANTS!” 😱.….Although on second thoughts, that is exactly the kind of disgusting twisting blame game the tories are going to play during these strikes.

The horrors of Oriel are suddenly back in my life and I don’t need this stress 😅.

Booking in locum shifts because I can’t afford all my bills at the moment, this is not how I saw F2 going 🙃.

You can try and do your best for patients but, when it comes down to it, blame always seems to be put on juniors when it comes to “lessons learned” or “mistakes made”, and goddamn is it disheartening when you really really tried your best! 😔.
