When I was in Lourdes (NW region), no one could touch the Njang groups. In Saker (SW region), the Bakweri girls took it home almost all the time. Their only competition was perhaps the Bayangi girls with Monikim. I hope this has continued despite all the mess.

In Cameroon (Anglo parts), we used to have dance clubs in school with students from different peoples coming together to perform their traditional dances for special occasions and inter-school competitions.
South Africa has become one of my favorite African countries when it comes to culture and tradition. Watching a Zulu girl confidently perform her traditional dance in front of a school is a powerful reminder that culture doesn’t belong only in villages or ceremonies — it belongs
