Chris Pratt says Americans supporting each other after Election Day is a "bigger civic duty" than voting. "Accept the results and focus instead on showing up for each other. Check in with your neighbor—especially if they voted for the other guy or girl." https://t.co/By3k7B0WYA

Trump appears to be unraveling live on stage “When I say insane asylums, and then I say, Doctor Hannibal Lecter, does anybody know? They go crazy. They say, oh, he brings up these names out of— Well, that's genius. Right. Doctor Hannibal Lecter. There's nobody worse than him.

1/2 But…the full data have been in the public domain for years, in some cases decades. Anyone with internet access can go to the PubMed National Library of Medicine database. The data are unequivocal: vaccines don’t cause autism and there’s not even a plausible mechanism.
To be clear, my wife and I trust our doctors and following their advice have vaccinated our children and ourselves. However, not everybody trusts such advice or the FDA. We would be doing everyone a service if the government respected Bobby Kennedy’s request to make the full data

Wow. Mike Johnson was caught on a hot mic saying that he and Donald Trump will repeal the Affordable Care Act. Spread this everywhere.

Exhausting, humbling and rewarding afternoon of canvassing in Kenosha, WI today. A recent immigrant from Belize wouldn't reveal she was pro KH until she was sure we were safe to talk to. Two Trump supporters on cycles rounded us twice. And an older Latina yelled after us

Have you heard that even most Latino voters support Trump’s mass deportation plans? That’s because of what I call “poll-washing”—using surveys to “reveal” popular support for something the survey-takers don’t fully understand. It’s time for pollsters to poll the policies, not the

More @Mike_Podhorzer brilliance: " ...surveys are used to “reveal” popular support for the indefensible (once it’s been sanitized), lending it a veneer of democratic legitimacy. This is what I call “poll-washing.” " https://t.co/VYFfBlvh1v

We're trying to stand up to a fascist who's in cahoots with the world's richest man, and our only weapon is: knocking on doors and having conversations. Of course it feels scary. Right now our job is to be brave and keep knocking.

At this point in October 2020, I wrote a piece for the glorious @BulwarkOnline, imploring my new Dem friends to finish the campaign with confidence and swagger. I wrote that if I ran the Dem party, my message would be: We are going to crush Donald Trump and the sickness he

When Donald Trump says outrageous things, “doesn’t he know people are going to be shocked?” @hirschorn asks. Of course. “He says them specifically because people will be shocked. He has succeeded in making himself the most most-hated man in America.” https://t.co/dmZoJpGoXJ

We should be alarmed by how unalarmed we are about a second Trump administration. This race is closer than it would be if more people understood what a second Trump term would actually mean for them. 🧵

Idea for @kamalaharris: agree to a Times or Post or NPR interview and ask her interviewers to explain why they can't call out Trump's explicit fascist turn for what it is. That would make news

If Democrats would go on offense and wedge abortion/freedom as hard as Republicans are wedging immigration and gender pronouns, I would sleep much better at night. We are not learning the lessons from 2023 on most of the swing may, which continues to run old strategy.

The @nytimes reported extensively on Mayor Adams' ethical issues back in 2021 but all of that got erased amid the great George Floyd backlash of 2021-22 https://t.co/5bwzSsip47

Mr. Adams, the Brooklyn borough president, has called money the “enemy of politics.” But his fund-raising has repeatedly pushed the boundaries of campaign-finance and ethics laws.
