Montipora capitata is a dominant species in Kāne‘ohe Bay & the focus of @CRL’s research! During the new moon from May - Aug, they release BILLIONS of sperm/egg bundles, that will fertilize, settle, & grow into new colonies. Photos include spawning to 6 yr old corals!
