I'd watch that Linux 2026 marketshare number 📈 Multi-front war (Gaming/AI/Privacy) being waged and starting to fumble the bag on core features.
Microsoft admits File Explorer is slow in Windows 11, and it’s going to preload it in the background to help improve launch performance. “This shouldn’t be visible to you, outside of File Explorer hopefully launching faster when you need to use it,” Microsoft confirmed. If you

Can I just say the AI-native web is not going to have a little copilot persistent in the experience. That will 99.9% sure never be a thing. It's too additive. AI-native web for mass consumers should subtract from the experience.

The fact you won't or can't learn to use a keyboard hotkey to screenshot a .png and copy/paste text into an input box is why AI-Native browsers are being rolled out more in 2026. They get better usage data, you save a couple keypresses. Not a great deal at the moment. Early.
ChatGPT Atlas is here! Our new browser has ChatGPT built in so it can help you across the web and, if you want, remember what you’ve done online and use that context for future requests. More of my thoughts on why we built this here: https://t.co/8Fnx6Stszc

When designing with engineers, there is no "your work". It's "our work". In product, the goal should be to make that window between design and execution as minimal as possible. So design is done when dev ships. Ergo, "our work".

Me: - Middle class parents from CNY - Paid for my own education at RIT - 15-year design career in tech - Built DIY camper van during Texas summers in 2020 anticipating tech downturn. - Saved 10 months of 2026 burn at <3k/mo. If that ain't grit, I'd like to see the other guy.
VCs say they want scrappy founders with grit Then they fund the Stanford grad whose parents can cover 18 months of runway The best builders see this and don't even start

AI Prompt Tip: Trying using it like a mental prosthesis to amplify your problem thinking as opposed to solution thinking (i.e. - task completion). Feed in thoughts, synthesize with AI, and build on those insights, repeat. I don't think there's a right way to use AI, but

Phone farms are fraud and extremely common now. Recently I found "rooted phones" with location spoofing for sale. You would think the problem is the phone farms and rooted phones? NO. It's the platforms. Impressions, inferred intent, and scrolling are false positives sold
Still can't believe that there is now an a16z-funded phone-farm startup. This was always just black hat world marketing..

I think it's cool. Better to share in your endeavors whether it's work, kids, or both. If this was about a local restaurant started by a couple, people would think it's sweet and normal, but because it's tech, it's instantly flamed. Just because people work on their computers,

If you want people to treat AIs like they’re people you may need to stop constantly changing the product. Connection requires memory and familiarity.

If you want a clickwheel for a DAP, Modded iPods are going for $649! The market for dedicated devices with quality user experience and especially Apple's patented clickwheel are still strong all these years later. I want one.

But why are they cooking? To what end? Funny, we don’t ever address this question but will expand the intent drift problem facing 99% of users. This is maximalism, not minimalism.

Interesting startup from Rob Dyrdek. I like the intent, but it's kind of got Field of Dreams product strategy right now. Consumers aren't ready to take back their time in my experience (after all we doomscroll constantly) so it takes an incentivized approach because products
