I want to start 2024 by helping fellow founders. Drop your marketing Qs below 👇

Save yourself a lifelong regret!
Last week, this post reached +50k people, and +300 founders connected. Let's try again!
If you just started to
#buildinpublic
and have less than 1000 followers?
Introduce yourself and let's support each other 👋

If you are thinking about hiring your first marketer, you don't need a
-Marketing intern
-SEO Specialist
-Social media manager
-Brand manager
-Copywriter
-Paid manager
What you really need is a marketing GENERALIST who understands startups inside and out (and your industry).
I just reached 472 followers!
Do you think I can get to 500 followers by the end of the day?
A little about me: I am Alper, based in London, UK 🇬🇧 I help early stage startups maximise growth and accelerate their journey to PMF 🚀
Who wants a list of +100 Product Hunt alternatives?
I've compiled a list of over 100 directories for launching your product.
I will share it here on X tomorrow. For Free.
Earn $300k as an employee or generate $100k ARR as a solopreneur?
The potential upside seems so much greater as your own boss, but the stability of the salary is undeniable.
Which one would you pick, and why?
Do you think bots and cheaters killing Product Hunt? ☠️
I'm compiling a list of +100 alternative directories/launch pads and will share it next week for free.
If you have one that helps designers/developers/startups please comment below and I'll include it.
Wearing all the hats as a solo founder?
Juggling product, marketing, sales and support is a lot for one.
If you need a helping hand with growth strategies or have marketing questions, my DMs are open 👋
Why do so many startups fail?
- No market 🎯
- No problem-solution fit for a sizable audience
- Founders build something cool without validating demand
- Solution searching for a problem vs solving real customer pains
What else you would add to this list?
@rickywillianto
@solos_work
Hey Ricky, we have quite opposite journeys.
I built a VC-backed fintech product previously; now I am starting an agency!
Any agency tips are welcomed 🙌
Reflecting on 2023, I failed to stick to my goal of daily tweets.
While I was really busy helping founders with marketing and GTM strategies, that's no excuse.
I'm challenging myself to tweet every day through the end of January.
Let's go 🚀
Want to know how much you can walk away with after selling your company for $25 million?
She built her business for 14 years, then sold for $25M.
After taxes, her slice was $9M.
That's $642K PER YEAR! Plus a salary the whole time.
It's a great breakdown video!
@HarryStebbings
Too many startups burn resources chasing vanity metrics instead of running REAL experiments. It's not about how many followers you bought this week; it's about WHAT WORKS.
Test a dozen strategies, kill the losers, and then DOUBLE DOWN on the winners.
NEWS: Local newsletter startup
@6amcity
just raised a $10M series A funding round.
If you love newsletters and local media, you need to learn from this company.
They have 1.3M+ subscribers across 26 local newsletters.
Great unit economics, great execution.
This is a really spicy take 🌶️
An average founder of a bootstrapped GPT wrapper startup will make more money than a VC-backed AI startup.
Do you agree?
I'M FEELING SPICY TODAY.
I’ll say the quiet parts out loud for people into tech:
1. Memecoins are gambling. What is the difference between going to a casino and trading memecoins?
2. Corporate job security in is an illusion right now. Somehow it's more safe to be an…
Get your first client in six steps 👇
1- Identify your ideal customer profile clearly. This will help guide your outreach.
2- Reach out to 100 potential customers that fit your profile.

I've been considering
#TwitterBlue
to see if it could help expand my audience.
For those of you who subscribed, did you notice a significant boost in your reach?

Testing a new CTA on the website 😅
May have overdone the "urgency" in the text claiming nearly 1M calls today.
Just having some lighthearted fun homaging vintage marketing techniques, hoping to get a smile.
Let me know if the faux scarcity comes across as too much.
Had a fantastic X mastermind call with
@mhp_guy
With 6 Months of focus, he achieved:
- 89 million social impressions
- 50,000 new followers added
- $8.5 million in new business generated
Amazing results!
Thanks to
@CoFoundersNik
for organizing this!
Startup growth requires both strategy and substance.
Good marketing drives trials, but satisfaction seals loyalty.
Without real value for the user, marketing magic can't create lasting retention.
@mityasmusin
Hey Mitya, After 10 years of marketing and founding a VC-backed company, I have also decided to build an agency focus on marketing.
What were the few key decisions that fueled your agency's growth?
@shnai0
I think personal brands will be a huge part of marketing in the next 5 years.
Connecting with your target customers in an organic way rather than bombarding them with ads 👌
@MrNick_Buzz
Hey Nick, I am a previous VC-backed fintech founder & CMO.
Left the company as we couldn't raise a series A round.
In 2023, I decided to launch a productized marketing studio to help more early-stage startups.
Your journey was truly inspiring!

shared this equation every entrepreneur needs:
SW2 + WC = MO
(Some will love it, some won’t + who cares? = move on)
As an early-stage company with a limited budget, focus your marketing dollars on where you'll get the most traction 📈
Start from 👇
Build relationships with opinion leaders in your niche. Quality connections are pricier than mass pushes in the beginning.
@thejustinwelsh
Love this post, Justin!
Even though I received great job offers in 2023, I decided to bet on myself and launch my productized marketing studio to help early-stage startups 👋
@CodeHagen
Hey mate,
Just checked your landing page, and it looks really interesting.
I had a fintech company in the UK focused on mortgages; first-time home buyers really cared about budgeting to increase their affordability.
it might be a good target audience for you 😉
Entrepreneurship is awesome because there’s so many different paths and so many different ways to win.
- bootstrapped SaaS
- podcast and newsletter
- venture backed startup
- buying companies
- running a car wash
Whatever it is. Respect to all that go for it.
This is also one of the biggest mistakes when early-stage startups hire!
Founders are looking at the ex-Meta ex-Google labels instead of skills that are crucial for early stages.
@mityasmusin
There is another company raised 1.5 Billion dollars in total, went public and as of today their market cap is only 6.5 Million dollars.
Yup, that's a M :)
@kshashdev_07
I would keep it free for the first 100 users! You need them to start your growth engine.
The first 10 users: I'd start by reaching out to friends, family and followers. Ask for feedback to improve. Do not rush.
No one likes unread emails. It is a big problem.
Has anyone recently launched a SaaS product through AppSumo or other LTD sites?
What kind of results have you seen?
Open to any learnings or metrics from your launch 👋
@kshashdev_07
First 100 users: Focus on the problem and think of video ideas. Create 30 videos for the next 30 days.
Post it on TikTok, X and Instagram. See which content works.
Reach out to tech/AI accounts to feature your product.
You are one viral video away from getting 100 users!
