These photos I took in Shuklaphanta National Park (c. 1996), the beginning of my PhD field years. This park was less known, a balanced ecosystem & full of surprises. One morning, I followed a call in distress & found a Chital grabbed by a python. The next day, it was all gone!

Striated Bulbul is one of the most attractive bulbuls in Nepal & is primarily found in the mid-hill regions. It's a resident of uncertain status, further research is required. Phulchoki IBA in the KTM valley, is one of the best places to observe this bird! (PC: Pratap Gurung)

Kashmir Rock Agama is rather disappointed with Gafadi world leaders on climate change matters! Fairly common in Nepal's lower hills, said to be mostly vegetarian (I would say also has plants in its diet!), very attractive lizard. On my recent field visit, I failed 2 see one!?
