45 years ago today…. The 1980 Huskies opened their season with a shutout of rival Iroquois, 14-0. Mike Barbarini and Mike Kuzilla were the TD scorers. Kuzilla led the game in rushing with 102 yards on 25 carries.

- Scott Bojarski set the school record for tackles in a single game with 21 against GM on 10/25/1985.- The 1972 game decided the ECL title with HC winning 31-13. Had GM won, there would’ve been a 4-way split of the title between HC, GM, Fort LeBoeuf, and Iroquois

- Since the end of the ECL, the series has only been played 10 times, with GM leading 6-4.- HC played GM’s predecessors, Edinboro and McKean, 8 and 6 times respectively before they consolidated in 1959

The Huskies first played GM in 1965, but the series’ roots can be traced all the way back to 1929, HC’s inaugural season. Harbor Creek took on GM’s predecessors, Edinboro and McKean, a handful of times each before they consolidated in 1959 to become General McLane.
