Not a great photo, but does anyone have an idea what bird this might be? Caught on camera in a Wiltshire village, tapping at back door of the house. Apparently it had long legs and was about the size of a magpie. Thinking perhaps a wader, maybe blown off course by #StormAmy

So pleased to have a visitor to my garden this morning π Hummingbird hawk-moth unless Iβm mistaken. Iβve never even seen one before which makes its visit more special. It was a speedy little beast so video not the best.

This year's chicks continue to grow steadily and we have been watching them start to forage and feed a little more independently in recent weeks. It won't be much longer before we see their first attempts at short flights! πΈ : Maureen May.
