I know it’s early doors but I reckon Howe has pulled off the biggest escape in premier league history. A monstrous turnaround that won’t be talked about enough because of the January window.

@_NotJames_ I think he must have. Might be wrong but do we not now have the record for the latest team to record a win in a PL season?

@accountant_fpl_ I know there was a stage in the season where they said no team with our points total at that stage had never stayed up.

@_NotJames_ Couldn’t agree more. Hadn’t won a single game all season to now sitting 14th. Amazing turn around.

@KeithBoiston Doesn’t change the fact that no one had escaped with that point total though. We were winless.

@_NotJames_ If we get out of it, which looks likely, he’s manager of the season for me for turning around what he inherited from Bruce. To get us to where we are is immense. The teams below us are averaging 0.6-1.1pts per game over the last 10. We’re averaging 1.9pts per game! 👍

@_NotJames_ Won’t be talked about for 3 reasons. 1) people hate us. I get it. 2) Peopke will think it’s only because of the January spend. 3) it will involve the media having to admit that Bruce was shit.

@_NotJames_ I was really pleased when he arrived but thought we might still go down with the start we’d had. If we had I’d have wanted EH to stay and rebuild. As it is I am amazed. He’s done a superb job and is MoTS for me. I think he’s the man long term. Such a relief!

@_NotJames_ For me it's not just where he have come from in the table but how much more of a team we are now. We were shipping nearly 3 goals a game under bruce. Now dubravka is one of the most underworked keepers in the league

@_NotJames_ Manager of the season without a shadow of a doubt apart from of course the Manchester biased media. Pep Guardiola would not have done the job Eddie Howe has done! For a start we spent £90m on 5 players!!

@_NotJames_ Won’t we only be the second team to pull this off from our Christmas position?

@_NotJames_ Eddie Howe won't get the recognition he deserves outwith the fanbase ! Yes he was able to spend big , but he spent wisely (some he was ridiculed for) each one has played their part, the way he eased Bruno into team giving him time to settle & sending message to others 1/2

@_NotJames_ Until the day Bruce was sacked we were down, even after that I honestly thought we would be regrouping in the championship. Eddie Howe should be manager of the season, but everyone will say it's the money 💰,it isn't he's transformed the team, I can't believe we are 14th ⚫⚪⚫⚪

@_NotJames_ Because the £90m can’t be ignored. No club in the bottom half has ever spent that in January let alone a team in the bottom 3. Yes, it’s been spent well and that’s credit to the club but no £90m, no PL football next season.

@_NotJames_ He’s done well but it’s isn’t the biggest escape in history. Bruce had NUFC in a mess but it wasn’t the players, it was him who was the problem. Always felt on paper that NUFC team were better than they were doing. SAFC (2014), WBA (2005) & Fulham (2008) were the greatest for me
