These phishing emails are being sent from electoral@register-to-vote.electoral.agency. Similar email addresses may be used. Any official emails about elections including registration from Hastings Borough Council would come from electoralservices@hastings.gov.uk.

We’ve been made aware that some people have received a phishing email asking them to provide documents to process their register to vote application. The email asks for documents that verify the recipient’s address and identity, such as a passport.

The water, power and gas utilities keep a priority service register for anyone who may be vulnerable during an outage. If you know someone who has long or short-term health, access, or communication needs or of pensionable age, let them know about the Priority Services Register.

The Priority Services Register is free to join and helps utility companies, including energy suppliers, electricity, gas and water networks, to look after customers who have extra communication, access or safety needs.
