To the other #XServeRAID users out there, friendly FYI that these cheap $9 sata to ide adapters work just fine in the drive sleds with SSDs. They actually fit way better than the commonly recommended StarTech ones.

いずれにしてもXserveRAIDはもうゴミだな・・・。そもそもフルパワー運転10日（しかも片っ端からリビルドかかるし）でまともに運用できず、しかも、電気代が3万円代まで跳ね上がるとかどんだけだよ。もう7年くらい使ってないけどね。

xserveRAIDはすごくおしゃれなサーバなんだけど、残念ながらPATAなのよ・・PATA 750GBx8とか16とか、もうさすがに使いたくない・・・（我が家にはジャンクを含め3台ある・・）

@Larkef Ik had hiervoor een Drobo, is leuk maar werkt niet zoals ik wilde. Toen kwam de xserveraid op me pad en dit werkt geweldig.

@Larkef Heb ik ook. Een MacPro die aan de xserveraid is verbonden met fibreoptics. Die server heeft een aantal services waaronder Media server zoals iTunes, File server, Time Machine backups.

@Larkef Netwerk opslag, timemachine backups, media files en data. De xserveraid heeft nu 14x1TB schijven, in twee sets van 7 schijven in RAID5. Van iedere set kan een enkele hardeschijf defect raken zonder dat de data verloren raakt.
