Began the morning with a tour of Spinrite in Listowel. 🧶🪡 This small business has been a staple of our community for over 70 years. It was great to learn more about all the products they offer and chat with some of their workers.

Current state of affairs: the desk is full of disk repairs 😅. SpinRite running on the Bigfoot for good measure, Scandisk running on my DOS 6.22 boot floppy, and SpinRite running on the LTE 5400.

Flabbergasted that Steve Gibson felt it was necessary to release a new version of SpinRite after 20 years, which was useful in the MFM/RLL days, but effectively snakeoil once IDE came out. For giggles, booting it from floppy on my i9-13900k system with 40TB of attached storage.
