Ghostty's sprite renderer got a major refactor by our font maintainer (Qwerasd). We now support more sprites and they line up perfectly on cell edges. Additionally, our sprites now pack more efficiently on the GPU to save some VRAM. Comparison between terminals as an example.

claude just obsesses on a grand refactor and over engineer even the simplest tasks. unless you explicitly re-prompt to simplify its shit, you're going to end up with spaghetti non maintainable code.

I just seen how an engineer spent 38.45$ in claude code to make these changes instead of running something like this . sed 's/React\.useRef<\(HTML[^>]*\)>(\([^)]*\))/React.useRef<\1 | null>(\2)/g'. Gen Z devs wil have to take loans to refactor the code at some point🫠
