I worked at Google for quite a few years, including projects on the TPU chips. And I'm sharing the ultimate lesson learned: how to maximize iteration speed when you're building systems from scratch. I designed and built a tiny microcontroller core called Mrav (Serbian for

I am obsessed with the fact that you can put ~60 lines of Python onto a $2 WiFi microcontroller board and get yourself a IoT sensor complete with custom hostname and HTTP endpoint. Works great with Home Assistant if you use the REST integration!!

I worked on the Google TPU chips. And I'm sharing the lessons learned in computer engineering by documenting how I made my own custom microcontroller core. My time working on the TPUs taught me that it's all about clever, modular concepts, not multi-million dollar labs. I

This is a scan-free keyboard decoder, there is no microcontroller here, just a 74LS148 and a few transistors. the LS TTL is important here as its got pullups that trigger the transistors for me. The right 5 leds are the code and the left one means "key down" No chord keys tho!
