In Exodus 1 the king of Egypt fears the growth of the Israelites and devises a plan to prevent them from growing further. The king knew the Israelites could potentially defeat him.

Let’s be honest sometimes our will and desires do not align with the Lord. We pray for things forgetting that God knows our hearts. We think God isn’t answering a prayer, but really he knows our heart posture isn’t as pure as we would like to believe.

Jesus tells the Pharisees three parables in response to them complaining about Him being around sinful people. These parables teach us how God views relationship with us. He loves us even when we are sinful and he forgives our sins when we truly turn away from them and repent.

The first seed the enemy plants into us is shame which leads to us doubting ourselves.

Help us have a stronger faith and deeper love for you. In Jesus name, Amen.

Only God can give us wisdom but we are the ones who mess up and seek our own desires and understanding. But I heard God say “no come to me and I provide everything you need. You are not alone” what we seek won’t be found in someone else or the desires we made for ourselves.

To further prove my point Ecclesiastes 7:26-29 the writer speaks of finding bitterness and death in the wrong woman. This is why it’s so important to actively seek wisdom and understanding so we do not fall into the traps of the enemy.

It’s never about the promise God told us it’s about the process along the way. Who are we becoming during the process? What habits and people are we leaving behind? Who are we helping and encouraging ? #wisdom #christlike #JesusIsKing #ChristianFaith #todaysthoughts

The enemy also had them going through extreme working conditions to distract them from seeing they could have freed themselves from captivity.
