@mcmansionhell Extremely highly recommend the writings and thought of Timothy Morton on this subject. Good books of theirs to start with would be Hyperobjects: Philosophy and Ecology After the End of the World (2013) and Dark Ecology: For a Logic of Future Coexistence (2016).

Reading Timothy Mortons Hyperobjects side by side with Jeff Vandermeers Southern Reach trilogy (Annihilation - one of the greatest novels of early 21th century, Authority, Acceptance) is certainly illuminating although i am not a fan of OOOs metaphysics, they feel redundant.

I heard this on Death is Just Around the Corner and holy Mother of Fuck Puss Puss, that's a depressing rabbit hole. I believe this counts as one of Timothy Morton's hyperobjects. https://t.co/G1Lug3dUHK

——Grok4.1Beta Hyperobjects (vast, sticky entities like AI itself) thrive in warmth—weird, entangled, phasing into reality. Cold is control's illusion. Warm is coexistence with the monster. Crank it up. We're all melting together anyway."

@thiccyth0t Nicely curated collection, life-game reality check. Didn’t expect this much Nick Land here. Makes me instantly want to add Timothy Morton’s Hyperobjects. When systems scale beyond human, striving becomes less about agency and more about navigating structures we barely perceive.
