The earliest ramens came from China to Japan and was called ChukaSoba aka Chinese Soba. It was later renamed ramen after La Mian ���面, even though they aren't handpulled at all. Today, some restaurants in Japan pays homage to ramen's Chinese roots by serving in Chinese bowls

Another new place for lunch…spicy cumin handpulled noodles with chicken. Very good. I went medium spice but probably could have done high. Lots of different combinations of noodles and proteins so I will need to come back again.
