I did a quick test on one signal (1GHZ, ~ -5dBm) on 5 SDRs. Summary: USRP B205mini has the best spectral purity (phase noise). HackRF has the best harmonics levels. This is not a scientific test. Need to test with more frequencies and amplitudes. Measured by Signal Hound SP145.
Has anyone checked the harmonics and phase noise of the output signal of TX SDRs (USRP, bladeRF, LimeSDR etc) before?.If not, I can check. Would like to know how they're different and how much they adhere to the specs.

Experimenting with HackRF that I borrowed from the lab. That thing never used for TX so I tried SSB modulation though max power is less than 12mW 😅

Remake of a HackRF AFE. CPLD from xilinx is expensive and hard to source, would you go with an ice40up5k? or a chinese clone of that CPLD?

Ran another experiment: generate a two-tone signal (2 signals, 1MHZ apart) with 3 SDRs, and measured the OIP3. As seen in the screenshots, USRP B205mini has the best linearity, and cleanest output, and HackRF is the worst. LimeSDR doing well too.
