Guess I should just stick to posting "FluentAssertions bad - upvote if you agree" on /r/dotnet instead of asking actual questions about the runtime lol

Last weekend, we've pushed #FluentAssertions 8.5 to NuGet. It comes with a feature that we've been trying to finish for at least two years; the ability to have "BeEquivalentTo" optionally assert that the types of the objects and properties match as well. Check out the release

Do you regularly use FluentAssertions in your apps?.#dotnet. It can be used to give our unit test asserts a more readable and expressive syntax as some of the examples below show.

I tried out Qwen 2.5 coder today in combination with Cline and holy cow, it worked pretty good for a model which only requires 16.3 GB. #Agentic #AI for coding while working offline. Here is a small example where it needs to introduce FluentAssertions to a TUnit test.

Last project migrated away from FluentAssertions within a very short time. Never mix convenience with the value of a dependency ✌

Interesting to see how many people have abandoned FluentAssertions since the infamous rug pull license change in version 8
