It's time for another #detailoftheday! This fabric was originally used to create a large palampore (wall hanging), before being recycled in to the lining of a sun hat! It features blossoming trees and various insects, a peacock and even a burunduk (squirrel).

A beautiful #detailoftheday to brighten your Mondays! This standing doll, with a wool dress & a chintz apron & cap, was produced in India, 1700-50. The cotton is printed & dyed using the chintz technique & the doll probably dressed in Harlingen, by professional dressmakers.

Our #detailoftheday is this early 1930s, brightly coloured floral, bias cut gown. This satin evening dress features a ruched v-neck & train & although beautiful on the outside, the internal finishing is of fairly poor quality, indicating it was homemade or mass manufactured.
