day #1 of war against the exams.- finished comparch & OS theory (reading this book for the 3rd time).- studied lots of cache optimizations.- virtual memory review.- tried writing some C code but relapsed into watching breaking bad

Looking at this chart again I see that writes only take ~1 cycle, and it's reads that are very slow. I had thought that writes acted the same as reads although I can kind of see how they could be different. Dammit now I have to rebuild my mental model. I should revisit CompArch.
