More & more my clients are being monitored, not just so the #CoerciveController can control them, but also to increase fear, so the perpetrator can then use it, re-framed as âparanoiaâ, to falsely claim thereâs something wrong with the victim, and play the victim themselves.
It can take all forms. I worked on a case where the perpetrator programmed his partner's phone so that all the calls were forwarded to his phone so no one could be contact with her without his knowledge.

#CoerciveControl is ignored in #Texas! #DomesticViolence is ignored by #TexasFamilyCourts and perpetrators are emboldened to escalate, as this man did, to #Femicide. When the #CoerciveController doesn't kill you, he exploits gaps in the system to steal your children etc.
