Do you know about the MUTCD (Manual on Uniform Traffic Control Devices)? It's a document intended to provide uniform standards for traffic control no matter where you are in the country. #visionzerookc

I'm not aware of any other effort to do this for OKC and I hope it can be the beginning of better communicating the impact of traffic deaths and the importance of creating streets for people. #VisionZeroOKC

This is amazing, thank you for doing it. I'll add that the council candidates that openly and loudly support #VisionZeroOKC are the ones we should be electing on Tuesday. It's not too much to ask. It's the bare minimum.

For each point on the map, I included the name and age of the deceased, the date and time of the collision, and links to any obituaries or news stories I found about the death. Sadly, some of these had no internet presence I was able to find. #VisionZeroOKC

Additionally, I included information that OKCPD recorded that attributed the cause of the collision. Frustratingly, despite differences in time of day, street conditions, or other factors most of these deaths were attributed to "Pedestrian Action". #VisionZeroOKC

I hope to expand this map to include dates from farther back as well as create another map that shows collisions that didn't result in a death. If you're interested in helping out with this effort, I'd love to invite folks to collaborate on this effort. Just lmk! #VisionZeroOKC
