I just spoke to a voter whose close friend is an OBGYN. Because of the Texas #TriggerBan on abortion in effect today, hospital legal had a meeting where they were told—under no uncertain terms—that they are to let mothers die rather than perform life-saving abortions.

Here is the gist of the opinion declining to enjoin #Mississippi’s #TriggerBan. Basically, the trial judge said that SCOMS will overrule #Fordice. So the #abortion bans are likely to stay in place and, therefore, can stay in place
This is the relevant holding from #Fordice. Like most court decisions, there is a lot of other language in the opinion that puts this one sentence in context—but yes, post #Dobbs, the #Mississippi constitution provides greater “choice” protections than the US constitution
