This morning, #RVSTrustees heard from @BCHSChargers staff about how they've partnered with @yellcanada to offer a course that teaches student entrepreneurial skills. #RVSed

Today, a group from @langdon_school shared with #RVSTrustees how they used math, science, social studies & ELA to better understand the experience of settlers in the 1600s. The students even brought in a replica structure they built during the project. #RVSed

At today's Board meeting, the #RVSTrustees heard from @EastLakeRVS students who showed off the medals and other awards they won at the @ScienceFairCYSF and @APEGA_AB Science Olympics. #RVSed

Today, a group from @Beiseker_school presented to the #RVSTrustees on the school’s Foods program unit, Entertaining With Food. Students learned the ins and outs of event planning as they hosted activities like mock gala, wedding and baby shower for the whole school. #RVSed

Today, #RVSTrustees were joined by students, teachers & @mckeeairdrie to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Building Futures Airdrie. The Board heard how this program has positively impacted current & past students as they learned core subjects while constructing a house. #RVSed

Today, the #RVSTrustees heard a presentation about RVS' dual credit programs, which allow students to earn post-secondary credits while in high school. Students shared about their experiences in welding and Vet Technician Assistant programs at Olds College. #RVSed

Yesterday, #RVSTrustees heard about the Museum of Human Rights Project at @WGMurdoch in Crossfield. Teacher Molly Maguire shared about how her students researched topics in human rights and presented their learning as museum exhibits for the school to visit. #RVSed

This morning, Cochrane High School teacher Jander Talen shared with #RVSTrustees about his recent National Geographics expedition to the Galápagos Islands & how he’s using what he learned to help his students build a connection to the land in the RVS ROAMS outdoor program. #RVSed

This morning, staff from @EcoleEdwards told the #RVSTrustees about how Positive Behaviour Intervention Strategies are being used to create a positive, welcoming culture at the school. #RVSed

The #RVSTrustees were joined by staff and students from Chestermere High School who talked about Career and Technology Studies education and showed off their recent projects from the Boilermakers Union #146’s Eighth Annual Welding Rodeo. #RVSed

Yesterday, the #RVSTrustees heard from RVS learning specialists about how they have successfully begun using a model where they embed in schools to support teachers in their instructional practice, with the goal of improving student learning. #RVSed
