CWA Local 1031 members were in Trenton this week to speak out against the Kean/NJCU merger bill. The bill as written would be harmful for our members, so CWAers are stepping up to fight for amendments to protect the workers!

CWA 1031 President Kathleen Hernandez testified in the Senate Budget & Appropriations Cmte in opposition to S4881, the NJCU/Kean merger bill. We support the merger, but not the bill as written because it treats NJCU employees as "new" employees when they are transferred to Kean.
