@uwukko Your ISP seeing you’re using a public VPN (proton has multihop so still harder but having your traffic route through switzerland is pretty damning regardless) is better than your traffic being revealed. Additionally ECH is useless if you’re using default DNS.. which most are

This is why you only open email links inside a Qubes disposable VM and run a multihop VPN (or simply use Tails). GrapheneOS also sandboxes apps and coupled with a VPN achieves a similar security result.

@JoshC0301 @T3chFalcon I think using a single VPNs multihop is strictly worse than multiple VPN providers. Since if ProtonVPN HQ is hacked, everything is still unencrypted. So there's not too much point other than more lag.
