#motorcycleproject The wire now comes from the alternator into the white single pin plug then through the relay and then back into the yellowing plug which is the original alternator plug. This is so no terminals are cut

#motorcycleproject the Kawasaki has an issue with the alternator where the battery is flattened because of a regulator that sticks on the alternator meaning that the electromagnet is constantly on and discharging the battery to fix it I’ll fit a relay which is basically a switch

#Motorcycleproject The relay I chose is a four pin relay two smaller pins that need electric to flow through them to turn on the bigger pins so that electric can then flow through them for the alternator. When you wire the smaller pins to the ignition key (wires go to fuse box)

#motorcycleproject for the ignition switch side (thin terminals)I’ve wired one side to the green and red wire on the fuse box (positive)(indicator fuse) and the other wire ( earth )to opposite side of the engine casing the only bolt I could find suitable.

#motorcycleproject after a long wait I decided to fit the carbs back on and checked them and they were blocked again so thinners isn’t a good idea to clean carbs best off with the spray cans they make for carb cleaning. I think I’ll use alcohol see how that works !

#motorcycleproject an easy way to get an idea of the condition of a motorcycle is looking at the windows on brakes/engine to see if the fluid has been changed have a look in the tank if it’s rusty it may not be good to ride here’s my tank wanna ride .

#motorcycleproject always keep an eye on levels and don’t assume a job is done as faults can appear at any time I just noticed the brake fluid levels have gone down and looking at the brake pipe I may have found the issue. A leaking pipe

#motorcycleproject with fork seals seeing the difference between a good and bad seal can be microscopic if you do a close up on the edges where the rubber seals you should be able to tell the difference and if fork seals leak oil well who needs brakes until you need your brakes
