Day 9: Make sure people know what behavior is acceptable and what isn’t as they’re joining the community. ✅ If they don’t know the rules of the road until after they’ve had the chance to participate you’re setting them and your community up for trouble. #MVCChallenge

Day 6: New week, new theme! ✨ This week is onboarding. You’ve done your outreach & have a group of committed founding members. Now you have to have them “officially” join your community. A good onboarding experience is critical to getting folks engaged. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 #MVCChallenge

Day 1: The #MVCChallenge has begun! This week’s theme is outreach. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 How will you get folks to become your founding members? 🤔 👉 Start by planning out what value they’ll get by joining. With a solid value prop, people will be more open to giving it a go.

First, my #MVCChallenge intro 👋 I'm building The Freelance Creatives (@the_flcreatives) — where freelancers master the business of freelancing, together. Freelancers supporting freelancers. Since 2013: free community on Meetup/FB. Now: building paid membership on @circleapp.

Day 4: If you’re having trouble getting people to join, see if they’ll tell you why they aren’t interested. It could be: 🗨️Your msg doesn’t resonate 💝Your value prop isn’t solid 🤓You might need to do a bit more research on what people actually are looking for. #MVCChallenge

Day 22: Do some research first. 🤓 Your outreach to potential members will be helpful for this step, as will observations of member behaviors. Throwing spaghetti at the wall to see what sticks works at this stage, too! #MVCChallenge

Day 15: When it comes to simple ways to boost engagement within your community, it's tough to beat a well-thought-out ritual. 💫 They help members build habits. 💬 They're easy for members to respond to. 🧑‍🤝‍🧑 They can be taken over by your members #MVCChallenge

Day 20: Take some feedback with a grain of salt. 🧂 You won’t be able to make everyone happy and not all feedback will be helpful. Where possible, focus on themes in feedback before addressing one-off requests. #MVCChallenge
