Learning a language involves much more than simply mastering the vocabulary and grammar; it requires a deep and a mindful understanding of the social and cultural subtleties that influence the appropriate use of words in various contexts. #LanguageTeaching #SCERT #Pedagogy

Language isn't grammar-first; it's vocabulary. We learn naturally through chunks & collocations. It's about how language "works naturally". Seen this? #languageteaching

My German 201 students did an artwork analysis + "gallery presentation" and I'm so impressed with what they can do! Also, 23 students each chose a work that interests them, and there were no repeats/doubles! So cool to see a full gallery of art that they like. #languageteaching
