The L2LP Horticulture class harvested their potato crop today during their class. They planted the potatoes last April after chitting them for a few weeks. A bumper crop from their garden this year!

L2LP class as part of our Caring for Animals module hatched 3 eggs in their incubator. We learned all about the lives of chicks, hens & roosters! We cared for the chicks by cleaning their coop, giving them seeds and water.We looked after them for 2 weeks & before to their farm.

Today the Horticulture L2LP students completed their bug hotel project. They have designed and built two bug hotels and placed them in the wild flowerbed on the school grounds. They are hoping to see lots of little visitors to their hotels over the next few weeks and months.

The students completing the L2LP short course in Horticulture harvested pumpkins from their own pumpkin patch recently. They had grown the pumpkins from seeds that they preserved from last years carved pumpkins. They looked after and watered the plants and harvested them recently
