Solid Edge is the lite version of NX and is completely free for personal use, that includes maker/3DPG activities even if you are taking donations etc. Even comes with free Keyshot for rendering. No stupid hoops like having to be a student, and the product is fully featured.
I see literally nobody talking about SolidWorks. The shops who use it are dwindling, and most are on 3+ year old versions. Pure momentum and pain of switching CAD at this point. All the momentum is Fusion/OnShape/NX
