Today starts year 33 with the State of Alabama. God’s plan was better than anything I could imagine. Thanks to the citizens of Alabama for allowing me to continue to serve on the Alabama Court of Criminal Appeals. #service #ServantLeadership

We enjoyed attending the annual Whatley BBQ! The food was great, our kids loved playing on the fire trucks, and we enjoyed meeting AU QB1 Robby Ashford! It was also great to see @JudgeMaryWindom, @JudgeMinor, @taleast! Thanks to @SenTomWhatley for inviting us!

Thank you to Judge Copelan for the invitation to speak at Opelika Rotary. As my friend, @JudgeDillard, says, “We are public servants, not disengaged robed philosophers, and the public has a right to know who we are and what we do.” As judges, we must engage the public we serve.

Great Tallapoosa GOP meeting with my fellow judges, @taleast and @JudgeMinor! Judge Minor gave an engaging keynote about the judiciary and his re-election campaign. It's always great to see so many engaged members of our community come together to discuss the issues. #algop

I was and am proud to be the second woman to serve on the AL Court of Criminal Appeals and the first woman elected to it. Judge Price paved the way!

On this day, January 12, 1951, Annie Lola Price of Cullman became the first woman to serve on an Alabama appellate court when she was appointed to the Court of Appeals by Governor "Big Jim" Folsom. #appellatetwitter

Georgia judges have two robes? Formal and “informal?” Unacceptable. @JudgeMinor, we’ve got work to do… Alabama needs at least three. Formal, informal, and … hmmm… camo? Father Christmas? Rehnquist model?

Great question! We have two styles of robes: 1. Plain black robe (our primary robes); and 2. Formal (academic) black robe with black velvet detailing (used for State of the State, State of the Judiciary, ceremonial events, investitures, etc.) They are all the J-71 model

Our court was honored to hold live oral arguments outside of Montgomery. Thank you to the lawyers who traveled from all parts of our state and from New York City. #statecourts #appellatetwitter #criminallaw https://t.co/3F3G8Z9CdF
