Emergency personnel risks their lives every day to keep roadways safe. State law helps protect law enforcement officers and other emergency responders by requiring motorists to move over when approaching emergency vehicles that are stopped with their flashing lights activated.

Since human trafficking is often a crime that is hidden in plain sight, it is important to be aware of its warning signs. Some indications that a person may be a victim of human trafficking are included in the list below. #EndTrafficking #HumanTraffickingAwarnessMonth #Alabama

Anyone can experience trafficking just as anyone can be the victim of any kind of crime. Traffickers look for those in our communities who are vulnerable and then take advantage of those individuals.

January is National Slavery and Human Trafficking Prevention Month. Every year since 2010, this month has been used to raise awareness about the different forms of human trafficking, also known as modern slavery, and to educate people about this crime as well as how to spot it.
