Isolationism is best case.
How. Many. Times. Does Europe have to be told “fuck off” by Washington before they understand that NATO is dead, the USA is isolationist, there is no “special relationship” with anyone, and it’s all a transaction going forward. This isn’t going back to normal in 3 years.

aoc going to Munich is smart if she’s running for president bc she’s able to articulate a more coherent foreign policy vision that she hasn’t really done before and at a time where democrats are not providing a vision aside from trumps isolationism and international abandonment

@TRUMP_ARMY_ Trump is the greatest president. He is a man of action. Not sure the isolationism is going to work out in the long run. Right now I think it's working..

https://t.co/KK3HFbuOM5 As unfettered executive power is a hallmark of authoritarianism, withdrawal from international obligations is the hallmark of unilateralism, with a side order of isolationism – postures Americans have deeply regretted in the past and which, in today’s

Eritrea: Isaias Afwerki’s Paranoid Nationalism "Over time, Eritrea’s paranoid nationalism has hardened into a permanent state ideology. It functions to normalise repression, justify isolationism, and foreclose the possibility of political pluralism" https://t.co/X7Bz2Vw5wv

@ricwe123 Right from the horses mouth. The rest of the world is creating another economy as we speak. BRICS This is what ego and isolationism led to. God help the Americans who will not understand how we got to poverty and leadership loss. In 5 years they will blame whoever is in

@dannyroddy Danny, for what it's worth, and I suppose one could argue it is no longer applicable to the current times, this is what Ray said about "ivory tower isolationism" in the Blake College Bulletin.

@RepDebDingell Unfortunately, US is not treating any of your past allied as friends and allies. You are treating them as foes. This is not USA first. It’s isolationism. The world moves on, though. Canada and EU are making trade deals. EU and India creates new connections etc. The world moves

MIDDLE POWERS The USA as a major power is hostile, volatile and unpredictable. China as a major power benefits from American isolationism. India as a middle power is now a major power. The UK was a major power and is now a middle power. The middle powers are banding together

@TheBritLad They are famous for shutting their borders when they know it will affect their own cultures. Japan's "closed border" period, known as Sakoku ("locked country"), was a 220-year policy of strict isolationism enforced by the Tokugawa shogunate from roughly 1633 to 1853. It

LDP wins and right wing nationalism may be good in many ways, but not isolationism. Japan's population as workers are net uncompetitive. On example is English proficiency of its population is just a disaster for a developed nation.

@travelingflying Saying the EU is the enemy of Europe is like saying your parachute is the enemy while you’re falling. The EU brought peace, prosperity, and unity after two world wars. Trump, with his isolationism and chaos politics, is the biggest threat to transatlantic stability since 1945.

@Nigel_Farage Dismantling state support & services , tax cuts for the richest (not the poorest), a return to untrammelled free market capitalism, mindless nationalism, a return to reliance on polluting fossil fuels, isolationism, etc, is going back to the past. Nothing to do with the future.

In the 1800's, Japan's centuries of isolationism was forced to an end by the West. For two centuries the island nation had been cut off from the outside world and the influence of priests and missionaries, who had been ruthlessly driven out and executed in the 1600's. When

A letter from Epstein to Peter Thiel has surfaced in millions of files, claiming that Brexit is "just the beginning." It offers insight into these guys' thinking. They espouse isolationism, hedge against collapse, and create zero-interest rate bubbles. Their goal is global chaos.
