Your choice of website platform can have a massive impact on performance. The latest HTTPArchive data makes it clear: managed platforms are setting a new standard. As of September 2025, over 80% of @Wix sites achieve "good" Core Web Vitals on desktop.

Apart from @HTTPArchive, is there any other database holding the state of the internet from the pre-“GenAI” era?

Enjoyed digging into @HTTPArchive web almanac last night. Looking at the device breakdown (just over 20% desktop) and comparing with @cloudflare radar data (just over 50% desktop) for Ireland it looks like like 'NULL' is maybe desktop traffic but 🤷‍♂️

According to @httparchive, a typical webpage now makes 21 javascript requests, while utilizing about 500KB as a median. This highlights the rise of javascript over the years, and the popularity of client side rendering. #JavaScript #webdev #webperformance

I (heart) the @HTTPArchive and just learned today that they made their dataset on tech and core web vitals easier than ever to analyze. For instance, here's why you should consider a platform like @getpantheon for #WordPress

I know WordPress is the market leader, but it always amazes me just how much more popular it is than any other CMS. This chart from Web Almanac's CMS chapter illustrates it nicely. https://t.co/gGnZIxK0KR (also shared in this week's @therepositorywp newsletter).

One of the @httparchive.org Web Almanac chapters we'll explore next week is SEO. Some interesting notes: 🔸 14% of Robot TXT files return as 404 🤯 (1 in 7) 🔸 10%+ of pages have invalid elements in the <head> which has important consequences. 🔹 Find out why + more one week
